The first woman chef to be awarded a Michelin star, she received her first star in 1929, won first prize in the Touring Club de France culinary competition in 1930, was awarded a second Michelin star in 1933, and was hailed as "the best cook in the world" by the renowned gastronome Curnonsky.

 

Did you know?

The first women chefs to hold three Michelin stars are Eugénie Brazier and Marie Bourgeois. However, Brazier won three stars at both of her La Mère Brazier restaurants in Lyon and at Col de la Luère.
