The Unstoppable Collection

In the 1980s, Inès de la Fressange did something radical on the runway: she smiled. Genuinely. At a time when models were expected to be unreachable, she was warm, relaxed, recognizably human. It made her the most famous face in fashion.

Chanel signed her exclusively. Then fired her. The company she founded with her own name turned around and stripped her of the rights to that name - she wasn't the majority shareholder.

She started over. Her own label, her own rules, the same effortless Parisian style she'd always embodied.
