The Famous French Collection
Alain Ducasse was born in Orthez, in southwest France. Summers with Gaston Lenôtre. Then assistant to the legendary Roger Vergé at Moulin de Mougins, the man who invented Cuisine du Soleil, the Provençal style that would later define Ducasse's own.
By 2012, he held 21 Michelin stars. Second most in the world.
He once said perfection doesn't exist, certainly not in his line of work; that every day starts over, every day you try to be better than yesterday.
Twenty-one stars, and he still talks like he hasn't arrived.
